Home Visits

Your pharmacist provides many services to help monitor or manage your medication. To provide these services, your pharmacist needs to meet with you in person, which can be difficult or impractical. The solution: ask for a home visit!

If you can’t make it to the pharmacy so that your pharmacist can monitor or help manage your medication, you can ask your pharmacist to visit you at home.

Here are a few reasons why you might need a home visit:
  • When a medication review is suggested or required.
  • When it’s difficult to explain how to take your medication over the phone (e.g., inhalers or injectable drugs), or to get personalized follow-up for these prescriptions.
  • To demonstrate how a pill organizer works to help you manage your medication on a daily basis and to review your prescribed medications.
  • To monitor your blood pressure or blood sugar or explain how to use self-measuring devices.
Don’t hesitate to ask your pharmacist for an at-home consultation if you feel the need for one. Fees may apply for this service.
